What goals have you set for this year? 

It may be that the very nature of the goal(s) you’ve set is your biggest challenge to achieving it.  When we’re feeling especially motivated or inspired, it’s easy to dream big.  There is a time to dream big and explore the possibilities of our potential, but if we want to make actual life change happen, some scaling down is required.  Otherwise, we set unrealistically complicated or frustratingly unspecific goals and end up feeling stuck.   

My first piece of advice for goal setting is keep it SIMPLE and SPECIFIC!  It’s better to set multiple simple and specific goals moving in the general direction of a bigger dream than to keep one lofty goal looming overhead.  With simple, specific goals you can account for the small steps necessary to achieve big dreams.  Seeing the progress represented by these small steps will keep you motivated to move forward.
